MAINTENANCE LEAD

Company Description

Rivyve Behavioral Health is a 90 bed Behavioral Health Residential Facility (BHRF) located in Bullhead City, AZ, which provides substance abuse and mental health services for adults over the age of 18. We are an evidenced based program treating the whole person (mind, body and spirit). We understand each of our resident’s needs is unique and our goal, regardless of the program setting, is to assist each individual with long-term sobriety and mental health stability and awareness. We deliver services in partnership with government agencies, hospital systems and health plans.

Job Description

Perform daily maintenance of equipment, machinery, buildings and grounds. Plans, budgets and schedules facility maintenance, repair and modification activities, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, cement finishing, locksmithing, roofing, glazing, insulating, tile setting, carpet laying, masonry and custodial of the assigned facility campus.

Primary Responsibilities

· Responsible for the general maintenance of all buildings to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. 

· Plans, organizes and directs the operation, maintenance and repair of heating and air conditioning equipment in facilities. 

· Selects, plans, assigns, supervises and evaluates the work of department employees. 

· Inspects construction repair work in progress to ensure quality of workmanship, compliance with codes and adherence to working drawings. 

· Prepares specifications of material, equipment and work to be purchased or contracted; reviews bids submitted and recommends the purchase of supplies, materials, equipment and services to the Administrator. 

· Monitor and stay within departmental budget for each facility. 

· Maintain inventory of necessary supplies, parts, equipment and/or tools. 

· Assists and/or conducts department inspections. 

· Directs and monitors the activities of maintenance staff, contractors, purchasing and technical activities. 

· Ensures compliance with fire and life safety codes. 

· Coordinates activities with other departments. 

· Responsible for training of maintenance staff. Initiates and develops continuing education programs for staff. 

· May assist in various maintenance activities.

· Building and facility maintenance and modification procedures, methods, work processes and standards. 

· Specialized knowledge of methods, techniques used in the installation, maintenance, repair and modification of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems and the techniques used in the maintenance, installation and modification of building structures. 

· Materials, tools and equipment used in building maintenance, repair and custodial activities. 

· Occupational safety hazards and necessary safety precautions. 

· Fire and life safety codes. 

· Principles and practices used in the administration of building and grounds operation, maintenance, construction and energy conservation programs 

· Laws, codes, regulations and directives used in buildings and grounds administration. 

· Facility policies and procedures. 

· Planning, organizing, utilization and management of manpower and equipment with prescribed budgetary requirements and established standards. 

· Identification and resolution of operational, procedural and personnel problems. 

· Plan, organize, and administer the Maintenance Department. 

· Plan, assign, supervise and evaluate work of subordinates. 

· Maintain complete and accurate records and prepare clear and concise reports. 

· Make detail inspections of the quality of work performed and answer technical problems related to maintenance, repair and construction activities. 

· Operate and use tools and equipment. 

· Analyze administrative, organizational and personnel situations and determine appropriate or alternative actions. 

· Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. 

· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work. 

Conditions of Employment

· Successful candidate must submit to a TB test, or provide a copy of your latest test results in the last 12 months, and Urine analysis.

· Must possess a level one Fingerprint Clearance Card (application must be submitted within 20 days of employment)

· If in recovery, must have a minimum of six months sobriety prior to application.

· Drivers must have a clean 36-month vehicle record check

Working Conditions

· May be subject to call back and irregular schedules.

· Work is subject to utilizing and safe operation of institutional size kitchen appliances and equipment; microwave ovens; large, hot ovens; large, refrigeration/freezer section and other related kitchen appliance and equipment.

· Exposure to hot, scalding oil, grease and water.

· Involves occasional to frequent moderate lifting of 25 to 75 pounds.

· Safety-sensitive position pursuant to A.R.S. 23-493

· Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, and conditions, including TB, HIV, AIDS, and Hepatitis B and C viruses.

· May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals. 

· Communicates with the medical associate, nursing personnel, and other department personnel

Education and Qualifications

· High School Diploma or G.E.D preferred

· Or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.

· Five to seven years of experience in building or facility system operation and maintenance, including at least two years supervisory or administrative experience. 

· Or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications. 

· Safety-sensitive position pursuant to A.R.S. 23-493.

· Obtain/maintain Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Card at employee’s expense.

· Obtain/maintain CPR Certification.

· Complete annual Tuberculosis Testing. 

· Complete required in-service training.
