Starting Range: $55,341-$70,000 per year
Summary Of DutiesSupports all general ledger accounting functions of the agency: including management of grants and contracts, financial reporting, and budget monitoring.
Position Responsibilities
- Maintains agency and foundation general ledgers, cash disbursements and receipts.
- Responsible for monthly financial reporting.
- Assists with expense/budget monitoring for multiple funding sources.
- Responsible for the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports by funding sources (e.g. NYSOMH, ECDMH, NYSOASAS, ECDSS, HUD, etc.).
- Assists with the preparation and completion of the annual audit and CFR.
- Maintains all necessary internal control and other standard accounting practices.
- Analyzes data on a monthly basis.
- Completes all trainings required by the agency.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or financial management plus a minimum of two years experience in accounting.
- Knowledge of and experience using computerized accounting and data management systems.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices
- Knowledge of financial management and controls.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to operate efficiently and effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders in the agency.
