Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in Dentrix, Pediatrics, and infection control. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during procedures and providing exceptional patient care. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols - Assist the dentist during procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing support to ensure patient comfort - Take dental X-rays and process them for diagnosis - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions - Perform dental receptionist duties as needed, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and verifying insurance information Skills: - Proficiency in Dentrix software for appointment scheduling and record keeping - Experience in pediatric dentistry, understanding the unique needs of young patients - Strong knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques - Competence in dental assisting techniques, including instrument passing and suctioning - Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, such as appointment scheduling and insurance verification - Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry - Ability to take dental X-rays and process them accurately If you are a dedicated Dental Assistant with a passion for providing excellent patient care, we would love to hear from you.
