DIRECT HIRE - MLT/MT Laboratory Scientist

Job Summary:

Established, successful healthcare institution currently offering a FT(Full-time) Direct Hire role available for a skilled MLT (Medical Laboratory Technician) or laboratory scientist experienced in patient care, Phlebotomy, laboratory science & high complexity testing to join our tight-knit team, to start with immediate benefits.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1. Phlebotomy skills are a must
2. Associate’s in laboratory science, or MLT (Medical Laboratory Technologist)
3. 1 year of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing
4. ASCP Certified
5. Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
6. General laboratory equipment experience: computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of laboratory training or experience performing high complexity testing within general clinical laboratory

JOB DUTIES:

• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through moderate and high complexity testing
• Analyze, review, and report testing results
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

SHIFT: Mon - Fri, 8a - 5p | FT, 40 hr/wk minimum | Required On-call rotation e/o week/weekend (need to be local)

*Call-ins are not usual or frequent but do happen, maybe one time a week- but then will go weeks without any call-ins

• Offers both “On-Call Pay” and “Call-back Pay” (if called-in while On-Call, will receive a minimum of 2-Hours Call-Back Pay:time & a half at a minimum of 2 hours)
