Scope and Responsibilities:

The Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for the recruiting functions within the organization. The primary function of this position is to find, attract and hire new employees to fill open positions and meet the company’s workforce needs and goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Consults with hiring manager to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified job opening.
  • Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market wages, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields.
  • Creates job postings and posts open positions on job search platforms.
  • Conducts candidate screening and makes initial contact of applicants to determine qualification and interest level.
  • Refers appropriate candidates to hiring manager for review.
  • Arranges and schedules interviews with candidate and interview team.
  • Provides feedback to candidates throughout interview process.
  • Organizes and attends job fairs, community activities, and other recruitment-related events.
  • Represents and promotes company to potential applicants by providing information, responding to questions, and collecting applicant data.
  • Administers background screen and pre-employment processes for new hires.
  • Assists in the new hire orientation and onboarding process.
  • Assists with identifying issues affecting recruitment and implementing recruitment activities to continuously improve the process.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist the HR department in other administrative duties, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:

The successful candidate will possess the following skills/abilities:

  • Associates degree in HR, business, or related field; or two (2) years of directly related experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong telephone and online meeting platform skills (i.e. Teams, Zoom, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with internal and external customers.
  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
