Overview

PROJECT MANAGER

This position is an intermediate-level project manager position responsible for the management and delivery of projects within scope, budget and on schedule. The project manager must have excellent organizational, communication and time management skills and will report directly to the Program Management Office. The position is closely aligned with the County Departments and Offices throughout the project lifecycle based on the projects assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing projects independently.
  • Project Management Certification- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or working towards certification.
  • Practical experience managing projects using agile, hybrid and/or waterfall methodologies to deliver medium or large-scale projects.
  • Experience in Project Lifecycle Management, Change Control, Risk and Issue Mitigation.
  • Experience producing status reports and dashboards to communicate project progress.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to organize, prioritize and manage work across multiple projects concurrently.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with teams and business stakeholders across the organization and external partners.
  • Strong writing and verbal communications skills with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Ability to lead project meetings with stakeholders and working teams to execute project delivery.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Application Suite: Project, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

Education:

  • BS/BA degree from a four-year college, university, or technical school
  • Master’s Certification/Degree in project management a plus, not required.
