ResourceMFG is Hiring a Lab Technician Near BROWNSVILLE, TX

We are seeking a skilled Research & Development Lab Technician to join our team in Brownsville, TX!

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a degree in a scientific or engineering field, 1-2 years of lab experience, strong English language skills, proficiency in computer applications, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Schedule: Monday – Saturday ; 8am-5pm

Pay: $13-$15/hr. Paid Weekly!

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting laboratory tests and experiments
  • Organizing and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
  • Performing minor machining and chemical/electrical lab work
  • Leading laboratory organization, including waste management and sample storage
  • Engaging in physically demanding tasks such as moving and lifting equipment
  • Ensuring quality control and equipment calibration
  • Adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations

 

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field
  • Proficient in English (speaking and writing)
  • 1-2 years of lab or production environment experience
  • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant programs
  • Analytical and numerical skills, including basic algebra
  • Ability to write reports, calculate test results, and produce electronic reports
  • Maintain accurate records for technology dissemination, patent protection, and/or quality control
  • Experience in laboratory tasks, including organizing, minor machining, chemical lab work, electrical lab work, and equipment maintenance
  • Familiarity with waste management and sample storage
  • Physical capabilities to move and lift equipment, standing for long periods, etc.
  • Perform quality control and equipment calibration as necessary
  • Practice safe work habits, adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Willingness to learn new skills as needed
