ResourceMFG is Hiring a Lab Technician Near BROWNSVILLE, TX
We are seeking a skilled Research & Development Lab Technician to join our team in Brownsville, TX!
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual with a degree in a scientific or engineering field, 1-2 years of lab experience, strong English language skills, proficiency in computer applications, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Schedule: Monday – Saturday ; 8am-5pm
Pay: $13-$15/hr. Paid Weekly!
Responsibilities:
- Conducting laboratory tests and experiments
- Organizing and maintaining laboratory equipment and supplies
- Performing minor machining and chemical/electrical lab work
- Leading laboratory organization, including waste management and sample storage
- Engaging in physically demanding tasks such as moving and lifting equipment
- Ensuring quality control and equipment calibration
- Adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field
- Proficient in English (speaking and writing)
- 1-2 years of lab or production environment experience
- Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant programs
- Analytical and numerical skills, including basic algebra
- Ability to write reports, calculate test results, and produce electronic reports
- Maintain accurate records for technology dissemination, patent protection, and/or quality control
- Experience in laboratory tasks, including organizing, minor machining, chemical lab work, electrical lab work, and equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with waste management and sample storage
- Physical capabilities to move and lift equipment, standing for long periods, etc.
- Perform quality control and equipment calibration as necessary
- Practice safe work habits, adhering to safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Willingness to learn new skills as needed
