We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care and support to expectant mothers during the labor and delivery process. **Responsibilities:**
- Monitor the health of expectant mothers and fetuses during labor
- Assist with pain management techniques and comfort measures
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Perform physical examinations and assessments
- Educate patients on newborn care and breastfeeding techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the birthing process
**Experience:**
The ideal candidate should possess some of the following skills:
- Must have 2 years experience with Labor and Delivery
- Must have Pals and NRP
- Experience with tube feeding for infants
- Knowledge of pediatric care practices
- Understanding of ICD-9 coding system
- Ability to assist with discharge planning for new mothers and babies
- Proficiency in monitoring vital signs accurately
