Duties and Responsibilities of Clinical Laboratory Technologist:

• Conduct a variety of laboratory tests including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
• Stay current with advances in laboratory technology, methodologies, and industry trends through ongoing education and training.
• Collect specimens from patients, ensure proper labeling, and accurately prepare samples for analysis.
• Maintain quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation as necessary.
• Analyze test results, interpret findings, and accurately report results to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards to maintain compliance with accrediting agencies.
• Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Manage inventory levels of supplies, reagents, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
• Work closely with healthcare providers, physicians, nurses, and other laboratory staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate effective communication.

Qualifications/Requirements for Clinical Laboratory Technologist:
- 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Valid license as a clinical laboratory technologist issued by NYSED
- BLS Certification is preferred.

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
