Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software systems. Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Conduct account analysis and reconciliation
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts
- Assist with audits, tax returns, and compliance with SOX regulations
- Collaborate with the accounting team on various projects
- Utilize accounting software to process transactions accurately

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Previous experience as a clerk or assistant in a corporate accounting environment
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of accrual accounting principles
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Sage)
- Knowledge of corporate accounting practices and procedures
- Familiarity with Bank Reconciliation processes
- Understanding of SOX compliance standards
