Kate's Club is Hiring a Marketing Intern Near Brookhaven, GA

Kate’s Club’s vision is to create a world in which it’s okay to grieve, and we want you to join us in this work. We are a community for children, families, and young adults experiencing the death of someone close to them. The organization brings people together around grief, creating safe, in person, and online educational and therapeutic spaces designed to help everyone express all emotions that come with experiencing the death of someone important to them. Kate’s Club provides these services free of charge, making effective fundraising a foundational element to the important work that we do.

We're looking for a marketing and analytics enthusiast

This intern will conduct research and data analysis, and drive content creation to improve the efficiency and impact of Kate’s Club’s digital presence, particularly on social media and via the organization website. Reporting to the Marketing & Communications Associate, this candidate will have a passion for marketing and data, and an eagerness to learn about nonprofit marketing strategy and operations. This internship will be 20 hours per week for 8 weeks during Summer 2024 and will result in a capstone project creating a comprehensive guide on social media best practices gleaned from recording social media metrics.

What you'll do

Social Media Analytics & Content

  • Maintain detailed records of social media metrics
  • Analyze social media metrics for trends
  • Conduct industry research to identify trends, opportunities, competitive research, and customer sentiment
  • Provide suggestions and guidance to improve social media impact
  • Some content creation support as needed

Website Management

  • Improve SEO on new and existing blog content
  • Work with external team on website maintenance

Marketing Support

  • As needed support on other marketing efforts, such as collateral design, eNewsletter design, slide deck design, etc.

What you'll bring

  • A background and career path in marketing, communications, journalism, media, or data is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, professional, consistent, reliable, proactive
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and be resourceful in a hybrid work environment
  • Aptitude for data management and technology systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Google Suite
  • Understanding of and proficiency with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Twitter
  • Graphic design skills and experience with Canva a plus
