Brookhaven Police Department is Hiring a GIS Intern Near Brookhaven, GA
The position will involve supporting GIS activities within the City of Brookhaven, utilizing ESRI and other GIS applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proactiveness, self-motivation, and a team-oriented mindset. Additionally, they should exhibit a passion for promoting GIS technology and a customer-focused approach to their work.
Assist In The Following Duties
- GIS support (presentations, reports, and analysis) for City operations.
- ArcGIS app development (Dashboards, Field Maps, Story Maps, Experience Builder, Instant Apps, etc.)
- Automating new workflows or updating existing workflows using Python or ArcGIS Interoperability (FME)
- 3D modeling using NearMap and ArcGIS products.
- Data collection of city park assets and mapping using ArcGIS Field Maps
- ArcGIS Online and Enterprise administration/maintenance
- Enrolled in a four-year Bachelor’s degree program or two-year Associate’s degree program in a GIS-related field
- Working knowledge of methods, standards, and techniques in GIS
- Experience with ArcGIS Applications (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion to learn, accept responsibility, and develop leadership skills.
