Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician
Responsibilities:
1. Respond to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to critically ill and injured patients.
2. Assess the condition of patients and determine the appropriate course of treatment.
3. Carry out treatment protocols to the highest standard under high pressure situations.
4. Safely drive and operate emergency vehicles.
5. Document patient information, treatment procedures, and outcomes.
6. Communicate effectively with professional medical personnel and treatment facilities to ensure appropriate medical care.
7. Attend mandatory training sessions and continuing education programs as required.
8. Assess the patient's condition and provide immediate medical care, such as administering CPR, controlling bleeding, and stabilizing fractures.
9. Safely transport patients to the appropriate medical facility while monitoring their vital signs and providing ongoing care during transit.
10.Document all patient interactions, treatments provided, and observations made in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
11. Clean and restock the ambulance after each call to ensure readiness for future emergencies.
Qualifications:
1. Current state EMT certification.
2. Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
3. High school diploma or equivalent.
4. CPR and BLS Certification.
5. 1-2 years experience as an EMT preferred.
6. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
7. Ability to work in high-stress, fast-paced emergency situations.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
