Job Summary:

Oversee the purchasing and warehouse operations at the plant to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership for purchased goods and services. Advise site management on all procurement activities.

Job Duties:

•Manage all procurement & warehouse activities for the local site to ensure that the needs of internal customers are met. All such activities will be conducted in the most effective manner possible with focus on delivering all goods & services to the internal customers at the lowest possible total cost of ownership, considering purchase price, quality, reliability, delivery, material handling and warehousing, safety and other items required by the internal customer.

• Ensure proper inventory levels & timely, accurate delivery of inventoried materials.

• Ensure adequate response time for purchase orders and contracts.

• Ensure adequate outline agreements are in place.

• Liaise with site VP and his/her direct reports to best understand the needs of the internal customer and ensure they understand

•Procurement priorities, limitations, projects, and objectives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of job related experience OR 15 years specific job related experience in lieu of college degree.
  • Negotiation skills, Sourcing, procurement & inventory control techniques
  • Strategic thinking and communication of vision/strategy
