Position Details: Job Title: Lab Technician
Position Type: 6-month contract with high possibility of extension for right candidate contingent upon performance and continued business need
Job Location: Bridgewater, NJ
Shift: 1st shift
Compensation: $25-30 per hour (based on experience)
Responsibilities:
- Under the supervision of a Chemist and/or manager, the Technician will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence:
- Testing of adhesives
- Evaluate, collect, and record data.
- Participates in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a electronic laboratory notebook;
- Uses a computer to enter data/information including charts and tables for communication of project results/details.
- Involved in making adhesives from chemical ingredient.
- calibration and equipment maintenance
- Tests performance characteristics of substrates using established procedures.
- 3 years (or more) of demonstrated laboratory experience.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office products.
- Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to understand and follow experimental protocols for preservation of data.
- Comfortable and able to work with hazard chemicals while following safe laboratory practices/protocols.
- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day.
