Location: Bridgeview, IL
Reporting to: Engineering & Maintenance Manager
Shift: Rotating night shift 7:00pm-7:00am. 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 days off. They’ll work every other weekend and it’s a rotating shift.
Job Description:We are seeking two skilled Automation Technicians to join our team at the Bridgeview facility. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of all automation equipment within our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot PLC systems, with a focus on Allen Bradley software (knowledge of other software is acceptable).
- Perform control circuit troubleshooting to ensure equipment functionality.
- Utilize expertise in troubleshooting 480v electrical systems and AC/DC motors, confidently using multimeters or volt meters.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on automation equipment, demonstrating a willingness to engage in hands-on tasks when necessary.
- Experience in PLC troubleshooting, with programming skills considered a plus.
- Proficiency in control circuit troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of 480v electrical systems and AC/DC motors.
- Willingness to perform manual repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Technical degrees or certifications, particularly in Industrial Technology or PLC Programming.
- Familiarity with automation equipment such as DJS Baggers, Trim Press Automation, Case Erectors, Packagers, and conveyor systems.
- Experience in packaging equipment or machinery maintenance.
