$$$ PAID ON THE JOB TRAINING!! $$$The Arc of Ocean County is looking for Employment Specialists to join our Employment Supports department to provide safe, engaging, and meaningful opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities in Ocean County. The Employment Specialist in conjunction with the service recipient develops an Employment Plan utilized to identify strengths, preferences, potential barriers and goals related to employment. Provides customized training on the skills necessary to obtain and maintain competitive employment. Must possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously. Must be comfortable with networking and capable of building effective relationships with service recipients, community partners and funding source personnel.
Location: Hybrid-Remote, Home Office, and Community Sites Schedule: Flexible schedule to suit service recipients work schedule, primarily Monday through Friday, with minimal weekends as needed Pay: From $23.25 per hour, Shift Differentials, Bi-Weekly Pay Schedule Requirements
  • Minimum 20 years of age.
  • Must have a Valid NJ Driver's License with no more than five points
  • A minimum of two years' experience in related field with one year working as a job coach required
  • At least one year of longevity with a previous employer
  • Must work well independently and as part of a team
Education: Bachelors Degree in Human services or related field
