Forklift Operator
Duties :
- Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move materials within the plant
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers using the forklift and / or pallet jack
- Transport materials to designated areas within the plant including rotating materials already there so newest product is in the back and older product is used first
- Perform order picking and packing duties as required
- Assist with inventory management by preforming designated monthly cycle counting
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Label items as received to plant and put away. Also keep copies of packing list with material
Skills :
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Proficient in operating various types of forklifts, such as order pickers, reach trucks, and standard forklifts
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and procedures
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in recording inventory movements
- Physical stamina to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment
