What You Will DoYou talk to the business to understand the business needs, dive into a vast pool of data to find answers, transform data into star models (SQL), and create actionable insights (Power BI). You will also have a focus on upholding and improve a high level of (data) quality. Both by automation and working with data source owners. You inspire & educate colleagues and collaborate with stakeholders daily.
Working as a BI Engineer in the BI team gives you an opportunity to see a lot of the organization. You get to work with a variety of data and make impact by improving data driven decision making every day. The BI team is the central source of data and insight in the company, driving data driven decision making. We use a Microsoft tech stack and we dare to say it’s faster than anything you’ve encountered before. The BI team is awarded “great place to work” and is a team with bright BI Engineers and Software Developers.
Your daily responsibilities are:
- Building models (SQL), dashboards, reports (Power BI) and analyses for the management board, company leaders, and other internal clients
- Be the bridge between the business and the data to ensure insights are accurate and recommendations are relevant
- Improving data quality through automation and alignment in definitions
- Proactively leading new analysis initiatives to get more insights out of the data
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in business Analytics, Information Management, Data Science or comparable
- At least 4 years of relevant experience
- You like to get the details right
- You have great business sense
- You know how to work with Power BI
- You have extensive knowledge of SQL
- You have a passion for data and are able to translate this into useful information
- You are fluent in English and Dutch
- You want to work from our Breda office
- You are available for a minimum of 32 hours a week.
