Job Summary: To accurately complete the accounting functions of the hospital in a timely basis within the objectives and policies outlined by the Controller.
QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must be computer literate, familiar with accounting software, Business Central or similar software
2. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and familiar with additional Microsoft Office products.
3. Ability to analyze figures, knowledge of accounting principles, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Must be able to multi-task, establish priorities, and organize efficiently.
5. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting or finance preferred. Associates degree required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Core Competencies
Posts general journal entries on a monthly basis. (Accruals, pre-paid, etc.)
Completes internal/external reports, and external surveys on a timely basis. (Responsibility reports, etc.)
Balances fixed assets to the general ledger on a monthly basis. Inputs all fixed assets into the fixed asset ledger and runs depreciation report monthly.
Reconciles bank statements on a monthly basis.
Works with external auditors and provides proper documentation and support for financial information to promote efficient audit.
Primary support in absence of accounts payable position.
Responsible for all Contribution Accounting, Temp Restricted Net Asset allocation, and Restricted Cash transfers following GAAP and UPMIFA guidelines.
Responsible for bringing to the attention of the hospital finance manager, any deficiencies or suggestions for improvement in the accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
Must abide by all hospital policies regarding the use and communication of confidential information.
Demonstrate effective management of time and good attendance.
Responds to requests for information/projects by managers in timely manner.
Maintains daily cash balances, cash projections
