Job Description:

Einstein Tutoring LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced tutor to provide in-person tutoring services for an 8th-grade student with special education needs. The tutoring sessions will take place at a local library, offering a supportive and structured learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized instruction in core subjects, tailored to the student’s unique learning needs and abilities.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the student’s IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and ensure student engagement.
  • Monitor and assess the student’s progress, providing regular feedback to the student, parents, and school as necessary.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the student’s education to ensure consistent support and communication.
  • Maintain detailed records of each tutoring session, including the topics covered, progress made, and any challenges encountered.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with students with special education needs, particularly at the middle school level.
  • Strong understanding of various special education teaching strategies and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
  • Ability to create a structured and supportive learning environment.
  • Availability to work from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, as per the schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Special Education or a related area.
  • Experience working with IEPs and knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with educational technology and adaptive tools for special education.

Compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
