THE ROLE:
- We are looking for an experienced 3D graphics driver engineer or developer to develop and optimize our DX12 drivers for Ray Tracing support on a wide range of AMD GPU products. This is an excellent opportunity to work on the cutting edge of Ray Tracing and GPU architecture.
THE PERSON:
- You are passionate about Ray Tracing technology and have good hands-on experience and understanding of GPU architecture and DirectX 12 Ray Tracing programming. In addition to general software development skills in C , you are able to communicate effectively and work optimally with different teams across AMD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and optimize Ray Tracing BVH acceleration structure generation and traversal execution on AMD GPUs
- Mentor junior team members on Ray Tracing technology and our DX12 driver solution
- Participate in critical triage of quality and performance issues with production hardware and game titles
- Work with AMD driver technical leads and researchers on influencing future AMD GPU Ray Tracing architecture and supporting tools
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Good understanding of GPU architecture, memory management, and Windows Driver Development Model (WDDM)
- Some DX12 programming experience, including Ray Tracing
- Strong C/C programming skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across teams
