If you answered yes to the questions above, we want you for the Medtronic Maintenance Apprenticeship this fall. The Medtronic Maintenance Apprenticeship is an approximately 2 year program that will have you working 20-30 hours a week (with the options of up to 40 hrs / week) at the Boulder manufacturing site while taking a total of 262.

5 course hours over the course of the program. Through the program you’ll be assigned a journeyworker, who will train you and keep track of you progress through the 39 on the job competencies.

Following completion of the program in good standing and based on business need you’ll be eligible for fulltime opportunities on one of three shifts offered at the Boulder site.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
• Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
• Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
• May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
• May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.

Must Have : Minimum Requirements

• 0 years of experience required
• HS Diploma / GED required

Nice to Have

• Practiced knowledge and understanding of electricity, electronics, controls, sensors
• Practiced knowledge and understanding of ladder logic, basic PLC functions
• Practiced knowledge and understanding of motors, mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and lubricants
• Practiced knowledge and understanding of laser welding
