About the Role:As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing advanced technology products around our soil carbon sequestration and agricultural GHG emissions measurements. In this role, you will work closely with our data science and engineering teams to deliver scalable and effective solutions that integrate complex scientific data into practical applications for regenerative agriculture. We are seeking an individual with deep technical understanding who can help new research and technologies achieve commercial readiness in a high-growth startup environment.
What You'll Own:
  • Lead and participate in customer and prospect conversations to understand and document technical requirements for both our science and engineering teams.
  • Support the VP of Product around product research, customer discovery and roadmap development and collaborate with the web platform team.
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex data and scientific findings into actionable product features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and refine products that meet both customer needs and industry standards for GHG quantification for both offset and Scope 3 purposes.
  • Manage the product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.
What You'll Bring:
  • Eagerness to learn, strong curiosity around data science and engineering tech stack and how they translate into products (i.e Google Earth Engine, APIs,)
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles and experience managing products that involve large-scale, complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies, particularly Agile, and experience with product management tools like JIRA and Confluence.
  • Technical knowledge of environmental science, particularly soil science, remote sensing technologies, and GHG emissions data, or the ability to learn these quickly.
  • Experience with data product integrations, and understanding of technical architecture.
  • Proven ability to synthesize customer feedback, technical possibilities, and market research into successful product strategies.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, capable of coordinating among diverse teams,managing multiple stakeholders, and solving problems that have no prior solution.

  • Advanced degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Data Science, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with data science and engineering teams.
  • Experience with machine learning applications (inference) in the environmental or agricultural sectors.
  • Previous work in climate tech startups or companies focused on sustainability.
  • Demonstrated success in innovating and improving product functionalities based on emerging scientific research and technological advancements.
  • Familiarity with international standards and protocols for carbon measurement and soil health.
