STV, Inc. is seeking a Junior Structural Designer for our Transportation and Infrastructure division in our Boston, MA office. We have a thriving practice with a close-knit, team oriented group that is growing rapidly. Due to our success, we need to continue to add resources to assist with the delivery of our current extensive backlog of work of some of the larger and more complex design projects in the region. This position offers excellent potential for career advancement as this individual would participate within design teams on large, complex projects with different municipal agencies and would have the opportunity to rapidly develop engineering skills and experience. You will have the opportunity to participate in the design and/or inspection effort for transportation structures, including roadway and rail bridge structures’. Required/Preferred Skills: Structural Designer with 0 to 3 years’ experience. Experience in design, rating, and inspection of bridges and other structures preferred. Successful completion of the Fundamentals in Engineering exam preferred. Willingness both to work within an office environment and to perform tasks on site Self-motivated individual seeking career growth opportunities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to organize and present design information, and to interact with other professionals.
