Position Details:

  • Flexible Shifts: Enjoy 12-hour weekday shifts and 8-hour weekend shifts.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Patient Care: Escort patients to examination rooms, take medical histories, and perform vitals.
  • Lab Work: Conduct basic lab tests such as urinalysis, blood draws, and COVID swabs.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications under the supervision of a medical provider.
  • Administrative Support: Greet patients, handle phone calls, verify insurance, and manage appointments.
  • Team Collaboration: Ensure the clinic is tidy and well-stocked, and support your co-workers to provide the best patient experience.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a medical setting.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Requirements

Education:

  • Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting; experience in Urgent Care is preferred.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families.
  • Willingness to take initiative and responsibility for actions.
  • Open to constructive criticism and feedback when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and third-party vendors.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of medical terminology and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, equipment, and instruments.
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
  • Competence with common PC applications including Internet, Email, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
