New Way Trucks is Hiring a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator Near Booneville, MS
Booneville, MSJob DescriptionThe Shipping and Receiving Coordinator receives, unpacks, and examines incoming goods and verifies completeness of shipments against bills of lading and/or other records. Pack and ships outgoing merchandise and keeps records of shipments. This person reports directly to the Supply Chain Director.
Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for the daily inventory transactions consisting of purchase order receiving, warehouse transferring, and parts order invoicing.
- Unload and check all received goods for quality, damage, and accuracy of load.
- Coordinate stock of replacement parts to be shipped by packing, completing associated paperwork, and arranging for shipping company to pick-up.
- Verify materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate departments or locations.
- Load finished product on flat bed using forklift and complete associated paperwork.
- Use our ERP system, Epicor, to book freight and keep track of orders and inventory.
- When needed, operate forklift in a safe manner and report all hazards associated with the equipment to the Safety and Maintenance Department.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to coordinate personal workflow.
- Assist other individuals in areas when needed.
- Forklift experience required.
- Computer literate.
- Excelled oral and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft and Outlook programs.
- Experience with an ERP system.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast pace environment.
- Clean and maintain an orderly work area.
