Summary:
In coordination and conjunction with the other ACT team members, provides, oversees, and/or administers a wide range of psychosocial evaluation/assessment, diagnostic, counseling therapy, crisis intervention services in a clinical environment which requires a high degree of independent decision-making as well as coordinated interdisciplinary teamwork. Most aspects of this job require clinical assessment, evaluation, and intervention skills to persons with severe and persistent mental illness who are in need of intensive services within a community-based setting. Position is required to have experience and skills vocational/rehabilitation treatment/counseling. Case management and supportive services are also an integral component to this position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Units Billed Minimum Requirement:
Along with other team members, is responsible to ensure adequate service delivery is provided to all persons served in accordance with National Program Standards, state service definition requirements, and the needs of the persons served.
Education and/or Experience: Prefer advanced degree in rehabilitation counseling; however, other related degrees with documented work experience in vocational/rehabilitation will be considered. Doctorate degree in Psychology, or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy from an accredited college or university and licensed eligible or provisionally licensed in their perspective field. Applicants with master’s degrees who are provisionally licensed or licensed eligible as clinical social workers, professional counselors, substance abuse counselors and marriage and family counselors will be given consideration for employment. LCSW and LCAS staff is expected to complete first evaluation training and provide first evaluations in the community. Psychologist staff is expected to provide first evaluations in the community.
