Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team in the grocery industry. As a member of the meat department, you will be responsible for preparing and wrapping various meats for our customers. This role requires paying attention to detail, expedious work, and excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and wrap different cuts of meat according to customer preferences

- Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products

- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the prep area

- Package and label meat products for display or storage

- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their meat selection and answering any questions they may have

- Collaborate with the meat department staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely service

- Assist with meat preparation tasks as needed

Requirements:

- Must be 18 years or older.

- Experience working in a meat department is reccomended, but not required.

- Proficient in using knives and other kitchen tools safely and effectively

- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations

- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Note: This is a paid position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $12.30 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
