Micron's Facilities Team is looking for an experienced Fire Suppression Technician to work in our new semiconductor fab in Boise, Idaho.
We have the opportunity to bring in a high-energy, tenacious, and ambitious individual with a strong work ethic and integrity to join the team.
The Fire Suppression Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., is responsible for working in a team environment performing maintenance, testing, and managing impairments on all fire suppression systems.
The Fire Suppression Technician completes regular inspections to ensure the systems and equipment continue to work according to their specifications and in the event of a system failure, must be proficient to restore the equipment to service as soon as possible.
Responsibilities
Follow all safety procedures, LOTO, and NFPA standards
Understanding of IFC codes, NFPA codes / standards, and requirements governing fire suppression systems
Able to understand P&ID drawings, one-line diagrams, and the ability to troubleshoot faults and alarms
Provide timely and detailed preventative maintenance on highly technical facilities equipment
Provide effective and proficient responses to restore equipment to service as soon as possible, in the event of a system failure
Identify and respond according to alarm conditions
Provide effective and timely support to resolve equipment issues
Identify and reduce equipment defects to improve quality and maximize system stability
Inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems
Maintain records on maintenance, testing, and calibrations of equipment
Manage site Red Tag systems, isolations, and impairments
Qualifications
NICET certification or the ability to acquire NICET certification
2 years of related experience and / or equivalent experience and / or equivalent military experience
Ability to work 12 hours shifts (3 on / 4 off and 4 on / 3 off), and potentially rotate from days to nights every 4 months
Preferred qualifications
NICET certification
5 years of related experience
