Job Description: Medical Receptionist Phone Specialist
Hours are 8am - noon M-F or 8-5 M-F
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients as they arrive at the medical facility
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using the ER phone system
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage
- Collect co-pays and process payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with ER phone systems is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of patient inquiries
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical record software
