The CRM Technical Architect, this role spearheads technology innovation, guides a dynamic team of developers, and collaborates closely with business leaders to create and sustain cutting-edge solutions within the Salesforce CRM platform. Responsibilities include crafting and implementing solutions on the Salesforce platform, spanning enterprise-wide transformative digital strategies to targeted proofs-of-concept for emerging technologies. This position will support internal and customer-facing solutions including our BrightView Connect customer portal, Quality Site Assessment (QSA) tool, and more. In addition, this role will extend to driving the development of effective and user-friendly solutions, ensuring an optimal end-user experience.
You’d be responsible for:
Design and own scalable, performant solutions using a mixture of configuration and code to support business functions and product goals, knowing how to work in and around the limits of the platform.
Design and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems, utilizing Salesforce APIs, middleware tools, and custom development. Identify integration patterns, recommend integration technologies, and ensure data integrity and security
Create and maintain technical documentation, including solution design documents, technical specifications, data models, and architectural diagrams. Ensure that all technical documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily understandable by technical and non-technical stakeholders
Review and consider new technologies and evaluate how investing in such technologies may benefit the organization.
Be part of the entire development lifecycle of a product from the intake, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Communicate and educate on complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing mentorship, guidance, recommendations, and explanations as needed.
Stay current with emerging Salesforce and industry trends, best practices, and technologies. Identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and automation to enhance the overall efficiency, performance, and user experience of Salesforce solutions
You might be a good fit if you have:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Master’s or MBA is a plus
Minimum 8 years of software development background
Minimum 6 years of experience in Salesforce Development including Custom Objects, Apex, Triggers, Web Services, Visualforce, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services and Migration Tools
Minimum 4 years of experience in building custom UI solutions using Salesforce Lightning design system (SLDS), Salesforce Lightning UI, LWC, web technologies (HTML 5, CSS3, XML, jQuery, JavaScript)
Salesforce Certified System Architect or Salesforce Certified Technical Architect certifications preferred
Proven experience in developing strategic system architecture plans.
Experience in designing and developing innovative business applications.
Solid understanding of IT fundamentals and best practices
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and troubleshooting abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication to influence technical decision making
Experience in researching technology trends, standards, and products
Skills in prioritizing and executing tasks, under pressure at times
Ability to educate and guide others on architectural standards, principles, methodology, and technology trends
Extensive experience in translating business requirements into practical solutions
Experience with Salesforce APIs, Salesforce connectors, middleware solutions like MuleSoft, Salesforce Connect
Experience would be a plus in programming using C#, SQL, REST/SOAP; Web/Mobile Application development using Angular, PWA (Progressive Web Applications); Azure Search, Data Factory, SQL, Functions, Key Vault, and AD; Data Analytics / Data Warehousing and Modeling using Azure Analysis Services and Power BI.
Experience with some of the following would be a plus: Oracle CPQ Cloud, ServiceNow IT Service Management and Customer Service Management, Oracle Web Center, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
