Qualifications:

• B.S. Degree in Education/Early Childhood Education; Must have Ohio Teaching License for Kindergarten

• Certification to teach Kindergarten in the State of Ohio and a degree related to early childhood or elementary education is required.

OR

• Hold a Permanent Non-Tax Certificate Valid for teaching in an Ohio chartered nonpublic schools. Candidates must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree conferred from an accredited college or university.

• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency. Ability to relate positively with young children.

• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position with a public or private school system, a quality preschool, child care center or church nursery is preferred.

• Knowledge as a parent or in previous work experience of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Health, safety and welfare of all of the children
• Facility is a cell phone, weapon, nut and smoke-free environment
• Each employee must submit to random drug testing throughout their continued employment
• Employees must have their own vehicle and must drive to and from work
• All employees are required to daily engage in light housekeeping
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations

Upon Hire:

• Must meet all Blue Ash Educational Building and Ohio Department of Education health requirements as well as other requirements.

• First Aid training, CPR, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse training are required. Must complete all necessary company employment forms.

• Must complete a BCII/Federal Background check and drug test.
