GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Management Team or business owners, is responsible for coordinating the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment. Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment. Performs janitorial duties (this is a cleaning position).
CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Clean and sanitize the facility
- Suggests material, equipment, and supplies to be used.
- Coordinates or installs, inspects, repairs and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical and other related systems in all department locations.
- Does general repairs such as painting, patching walls, hanging shelves and landscaping.
- Assist with renovations of existing facilities.
- Ability to meet and deal tactfully and courteously with fellow employees and vendors/contractors.
- Ability to perform various clean-up and maintenance tasks as needed.
- Cleans, sweeps, dusts, mops, washes, laundry services and vacuums.
- Must be comfortable cleaning bodily fluids
- Cleans windows, woodwork, furniture, and equipment.
- Cleans toilet facilities and keeps restrooms supplied with towels, soap, and other items. Collects and disposes of trash and recycling from buildings and grounds.
- Performs outside work such as cleaning walks and removing debris.
- Moves furniture and equipment as directed by administration.
- Ability to perform physical labor such as moving furniture and equipment, lifting, climbing ladders, etc.
- Ability to follow instructions concerning various chemicals.
