Does it Fit for You?

The Medical Assistant on the ReThink team cares for patients in the outpatient and partial hospitalization settings and the care they provide includes:

• Providing a safe and welcoming space for patients
• Ensuring efficient and effective patient flow
• Maintaining and cleaning the work area including equipment
• Communicating and anticipating the needs of other team members to ensure continuity and quality of care and coordination of services
• Collecting and monitoring patient data, reporting patient data and patient needs
• Performing review of ReThink processes and services to ensure quality, cost effectiveness and efficiency
• Engaging in process and quality improvement activities
• Collaborating with a broader team of physicians and other advanced practice providers, registered dietitian nutritionists, psychologists and mental health providers as well as nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans
• Documenting and maintaining patient records
• Staying up-to-date with latest trends and best practices in eating disorder diagnosis and treatment
• Developing relationships with patients and families that builds trust and encourages recovery

Education / Experience / Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program
• 1 year of relevant experience working in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred
• One of the following required within 120 Days:
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
• Interest in eating disorders and in making the hard easier

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• working in a physician practice or healthcare setting: 1 year (Preferred)
• EKG: 1 year (Preferred)
• Phlebotomy: 1 year (Preferred)
• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
