About Us:
Davis Center is a small (32 bed) NF/MI located in Bloomfield.

Optimae LifeServices - Davis Center is seeking candidates to join their Activities Department. The Activity Assistant is a full or part time staff member qualified by experience and/or training to direct group activities and may be responsible for directing and supervising activities.

Duties Include:

• Lead or assist in activities
• Plan and organize activities in cooperation with the Activities Coordinator
• Assist in creating a home-like atmosphere in the health care facility
• Carry out and follow all facility personnel policies
• Participate in all in-service training and meetings as required
• Notify the charge nurse of any change in a resident’s condition
• Assist with resident transports for scheduled appointments and outings when applicable
• Read widely in the field of recreational and group activities

Qualifications:

• High school graduate preferred
• Activities experience preferred
• Must have the following knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Skills in crafts, music, etc.
• Knowledge of various patient activities
• Awareness of need for developing and maintaining interest of the group
• Tact, sympathy, patience and understanding
• Ability to work well with others
