Position Type: Part time (Full time options available if preferred)
Location: Blaine, MN
Schedule: Mon 8a-1:30p, Tues 8a-3:30p, Fri 2:45-9p & E/O Weekend 8a-2:30p
Wage: $20/hour

Job Summary:This position will be supporting four young adults in our Swan Park home in Blaine, MN. At Swan Park, the young men are very active. They enjoy walks, going to the park, swimming, bowling and overall any fun activities in the community. In the position, staff will focus on routines, transition times and sensory diets as well as supporting the men in all aspects of daily living.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will support our people served with daily activities that include working on outcomes designed for each person served at a variety of residential group homes. Outcomes are designed to increase independent in skills. These may include learning more about community resources, finding hobbies, working on personal cares and meal preparations/planning or budgeting. We tailor our services to each person and their needs and wishes.
Requirements:
- To be at least 21 years of age per DHS Licensing for staff working in a child foster care site
- Have a vehicle with current car insurance
- Have an acceptable driving record as determined by Meridian Services policy.
- Successful clearance from a DHS background Study
- Ability to assist with personal cares
- Experience working with challenging behaviors such as physical and verbal behaviors and with Autism is required.
