Blacksburg Pharmacy is Hiring a Pharmacy Cashier Near Blacksburg, VA

Job description

We are looking for a full-time dependable Pharmacy Cashier who will conduct point of sale transactions for our customers. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, provide excellent customer service, and ensure the checkout area runs smoothly. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.

Responsibilities

  • Sterilize surfaces and equipment
  • Prepare the pharmacy for opening
  • Greet customers and answer questions
  • Receive prescriptions and check their validity
  • Sell and help maintain OTC products
  • Undertake administrative tasks (e.g. record-keeping) as assigned
  • Comply with all security, confidentiality, and quality standards
  • Other tasks as assigned by the supervisors

Required Qualifications

  • Passion for customer service
  • Must enjoy working in fast paced, high volume environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Reliable
  • Detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with an online prescription system
  • Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement
