ABOUT THE ROLE The Centre for Restoration exists to support people (survivors) who have suffered historic child abuse within The Salvation Army (TSA) in Australia, through the redress process. It is our aim to help survivors of abuse move forward in their journey of healing and restoration. We are seeking a Senior Case Manager to join our close-knit team in Blackburn. The opportunity is on a permanent, full-time basis. Your role is pivotal in providing holistic case management support for individual survivors. Key responsibilities: Provide support for each redress applicant throughout TSA redress process and post-redress, in a trauma-informed, caring, professional and timely manner. Prepare detailed case reports for consideration by TSA internal redress Committee. Respond to all Requests for Information from the Commonwealth Government National Redress Scheme. Complete Police reports for identified Persons of Interest in line with TSA mandatory reporting obligations. Review general counselling reports provided by external treatment providers. ABOUT YOU The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills. You will also have demonstrated ability to deal with sensitive, confidential and traumatic content of documents relating to clients. Key capabilities: Tertiary degree in Social Work or Psychology or related field. Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and stressful situations, monitoring own stress levels and practicing self-care strategies. High attention to detail and sound time management skills. Experience in case management of survivors (of historic child abuse) is an advantage.
