NDDOT Starting Salary: Transportation Engineer II: $5,824 / month Transportation Engineer I*: $5,245 / month
- Applicants who anticipate receiving their degree by May of 2025 are eligible to apply; the start date is flexible.
- Develop and maintain expertise in lighting and signal design.
- Lighting and Signal design.
- Write engineering/environmental reports and create project plans.
- Assist in designing guardrail, signing, pavement marking, and work zone traffic control.
- Assist in reviewing consultant prepared lighting, signal, and ITS design.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, transportation, or construction engineering
- Two years of professional-level engineering work experience
- Eligibility to write the Fundamentals of Engineering exam as specified by the Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors.
- Requires a class D driver’s license for travel to meetings and project locations.
