Job Description

This ministry position is ideal for someone who has a passion for children; grasps the life-changing potential of helping shape a child's faith; is enthusiastic enough to recruit and organized enough to lead a dynamic team of volunteers; and has a vision for the power of a church when its working right. The position fits someone open to God using them to help children and their families meet and follow Jesus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and a willingness to follow Him.

2. Possess a desire (or “call”) to teach and mentor children with effectiveness and grace.

3. Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to lead volunteer teams.

4. Ability to reflect the “winsome” spirit of Jesus.

4. Be willing to become an enthusiastic part of the Bismarck Baptist Staff and Church family.

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Responsible to the Lead Pastor and to mutual accountability with the Children’s Leadership Team.

THE BIG 4 STARTING PRIORITIES: (these will be strategically adjusted as opportunities arise)

• Build a compelling sense of TEAM in our children’s ministry volunteers.
• Identify and implement the vision and strategy of our Children’s Ministry. (Draw a line!)
• Recruit the team for Sunday morning and midweek children’s ministry.
• As part of the staff team, help move the overall ministry of Bismarck Baptist forward.

OTHER GENERAL EXPECTATIONS INCLUDE:

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20,000.00 - $30,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
