ARAUCO - North America is Hiring a Production Technician Near Biscoe, NC
Primary Job Functions
- Operates treating machine(s) that produce furniture and décor papers.
- Regulates machine speed, flow, volume, and temperature.
- Stops or resets machine when malfunction occurs and clears machine jams.
- Observes machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of products to standards.
- Adjusts machine tension, pressure and machine components according to specifics of product.
- Inspects and removes defective product as required.
- Removes finished packaged items from machine and separate rejected items as needed.
- Performs tests and evaluates product. Verifies and records product weights or measurements to ensure quality standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Coach or Manufacturing Manager.
- Willing to support and work on other shifts as needed.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- High school diploma or GED, additional education a plus
- Ability to read, analyse and interpret business documentation, SOPs, and job descriptions.
- Ability to do fundamental mathematics as it pertains to production, formulations, efficiencies, and scrap.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills to attain high levels of performance.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
- Ability to follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Participate in a team based environment to achieve superior business results.
- Willingness to cross train and support upstream and downstream customers.
- Participates in functional area meetings
- Is a leader in team approach to work and fostering the culture at Arauco.
- Supports and participates in the Operate and Maintain principles of the Team Design.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with teams, management, clients, customers, and vendors.
