Summary

CAE USA Systems Engineers are part of the program team which strives to not only meet but exceed our customers expectations. System Engineers develop system architectures and define key capabilities in accordance with customer specifications to provide total training systems solutions used in aircrew and maintenance training systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position is for a systems engineer who is self-motivated, collaborative, has a strong work ethic and demonstrates strategic big picture thinking.

Conduct engineering system development tasks including system requirements analysis, system architecture and design, preliminary design, critical design, system integration support, test procedure development, formal verification, and formal validation.

Interpret and analyze customer requirements and CONOPS, defining the system-level architecture, and allocating subsystem requirements.

Perform system-level analyses, determine and undertake necessary trade studies, define and allocate the functional requirements to subsystem

Understand and implement systems engineering processes on programs and projects.

Create and update essential engineering documents including specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations

Ensure all program requirements are met, program risks are identified and mitigated, and company processes are followed.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

BS degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required

A minimum of 8 years Systems engineering experience

Experience supporting military or defense programs

Ability to apply sound engineering principles and develop innovative solutions

Excellent communication skills including oral, written, interpersonal, and listening

Experience with MBSE concepts and tools

Proficiency with requirements analysis tools (DOORS, DOORS Next Gen)

Proven success to multi-task, balancing multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced development environment and possess a willingness to take ownership, accept accountability, and thrive under pressure

Ability to provide and receive constructive criticism

Active DoD Secret Clearance within a five-year investigation period

Flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, shift work and site travel (CONUS)

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Agile/DevOps methodologies, practices, and tools

Experience with Aerodynamics design and RF Systems

Experience with Flight Simulation and/or Radar Systems

Familiarity with aircraft avionics 1553 protocol and simulator experience

Experience working in a production environment

Prior Military Experience

Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval.? All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Salary Range: $96,600 - $120,800 Please note: The actual compensation rate is subject to the evaluation of the following factors (but not limited to): the candidate's work experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and market.
