Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirements
- Fabricate, install, and maintain fire sprinkler systems in accordance with local codes and regulations
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, thread, and install pipes
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure the proper functioning of fire sprinkler systems
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire sprinkler systems
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget
- Attention to detail
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler industry performing service and repairs to sprinkler systems of wet, dry, pre-action, deluge and fire pumps
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service, with strong organization skills, positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly
- Ability to perform repairs from information on deficiency list and call in basis
- Follow prescribed troubleshooting procedures and refer to technical manuals, parts manuals, change notices and bulletins, modification notices, etc. In order to diagnose and repair equipment
- Participation in on call rotation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements
- Must maintain truck inventory to insure timely response to customer needs
- Possess a valid drivers license and driving record that meets company requirements
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools
- Ability to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60ft
- Experience with power machine, threader and other essential tools
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Fire Sprinkler Technician or in a similar role
- Proficient in blueprint reading and interpretation
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
