Job Title: Driver/Warehouse Associate

Reports to: Warehouse Manager / Lead

Status: Hourly

Job Summary:

Responsible for transporting goods in a timely and safe manner, with a focus on vehicles weighing under 26,000 lbs. (Class C). In addition to driving duties, this role will also involve supporting warehouse operations during non-driving hours. Assist and serve customers and other warehouse staff with customer requests in a distribution warehouse setting. Coordinating deliveries schedules to meet customer requests. Direct-to-customer supply and customer service are key responsibilities of this role, along with loading, stocking and/or shelving products, unloading products and materials, and helping with inventory. Helps keep warehouse and surrounding grounds/yard in neat condition.

Education and Experience Requirements

• One year’s experience in a warehouse or driving setting.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a driver, preferably with a focus on vehicles under 26,000 lbs.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, as required in warehouse duties.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. Verifiable experience and training may be substituted.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Forklift Certification/ability to become certified (offered by employer)
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assists with product information and customer service responsibilities in the warehouse.
• Safely operate vehicles weighing under 26,000 lbs. to transport goods to specified locations. No CDL required.
• Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations to ensure safe and timely deliveries.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery details.
• Ships, receives, stores, and/or moves materials within the warehouse, loading area or storage area.
• Verifies that orders are accurately filled. Ensures that shipments are properly packaged, identified with shipping information. Prepares and keeps records of goods shipped.
• Drives forklift in a safe manner.
• Keeps warehouse and outside grounds/yard clean and orderly.
• Other duties as assigned.
