Responsibilities

• Patient intake and checkout processes
• Oversees patient flow
• Phone call triage and follow-up
• Appointment scheduling management
• Handles all records requests to and from referring offices, insurance companies, and other facilities
• Answers patient inquiries via all modes of communication (phone, text, fax and email)
• Order and dispense contact lenses
• Maintains an organized, clean and calm reception area

Qualifications

• Handles daily deadlines with a sense of urgency
• Consistent professional and friendly demeanor with patients on the phone and in person
• Proficient with computer software programs
• Ability to document details with extreme accuracy
• Effectively communicating with doctor, staff and patients
• Successfully prioritize and handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions
• Dependable to be at work on time as scheduled
• Follows all tasks to completion
• Open to learning additional skills for cross-training possibilities
