What You Will Do:The Process Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the interpretation of technical data such as Engineering Drawings, Quality Assurance specifications, etc., which will flow down into process work instructions.
  • Create work instructions for new processes including definition of tooling and process parameters; review & modify tool designs, track and implement tool changes and corrections.
  • Provide production support by resolving manufacturing process issues across multiple manufacturing disciplines i.e., Thermal Plasma Spray Coatings, Heat Treatment /Braze, and Surface Treatment processes.
  • Lead Root Cause & Corrective action investigations using root cause analysis tools. Perform technology process development and improvement tasks, including, first piece approvals, equipment requalification, measurement system analysis and capability assessments. Implementation of lean process improvements activities to meet schedule and cost targets.
  • Participate in manufacturing process councils that drive systemic process improvements through baselining current process performance and developing continuous improvement actions to improve process standards.
  • Provide shift turnover communication for technical items.
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or quality environment or a Master's degree and 1 or more year of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or quality environment
  • Knowledge of various Thermal Plasma Spray Processes.
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE (Design of Experiments) and multivariate statistics using Minitab or other statistical software.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Knowledge of heat treatment, brazing, chemical cleaning, and plating processes
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office .
  • Ability to self-manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 64,000 USD - 128,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
