Job Title: CMM Engineer

Location: North Berwick, Maine

Job Overview:

We are seeking a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Engineer with 3-6 years of experience to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, implementation, and maintenance of efficient and accurate CMM measurement programs for a wide range of products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain complex CMM measurement programs using software such as PC-DMIS or CALYPSO
  • Lead technical discussions with design, quality assurance, and production teams to determine appropriate measurement techniques and procedures
  • Conduct regular maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment and oversee these activities for junior team members
  • Analyze and interpret measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency, and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Provide technical support and training to operators and resolve any technical issues related to CMM equipment and programs
  • Continuously improve CMM measurement processes through analysis, optimization, and implementation of new technologies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, or a related field
  • 6-9 years of experience in CMM programming and metrology
  • Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Competency using PC-DMIS
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and provide technical guidance to junior team members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as PC-DMIS or CALYPSO.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with manufacturing engineering, precision inspection personnel, and shop floor employees
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,560.86 - $84,976.52 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Coordinate measuring machine: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

  • North Berwick, ME (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • North Berwick, ME: Relocate before starting work (Required)
