Overview :

TIGHITCO is comprised of three divisions Complex Composite Structures, Insulation Products, and Overhaul Support Services, supported by five facilities located throughout North America.

Responsibilities :

• Operate a computer to retrieve files, nest ply patterns.
• Load rolls of materials on to machine.
• Organize plys for inspection verification.
• Understand ply material orientation.
• Proper material unit of measure conversions and material requisitioning and accountability.
• Preparation of materials to go to freezer storage.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Responsible for the accurate recording of all paperwork and labor entries associated with the position.
• Visually inspect materials for F.O.D prior to and after cutting and prior to packaging.
• Visually check own work prior to submitting to inspection.
• Responsible for monitoring shelf life of materials and taking action to prevent exceeding limits.
• Coordinate verification / inspection of kits with quality department.
• Responsible for operation of machine, ensuring consumables are on hand at all times.
• Other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

• Working knowledge of Aerospace specifications and standards.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles changes, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, meets attendance / punctuality requirements.
• Should have knowledge of Epicor software.
• Experience nesting dxf files.
• Highly focused and organized.

Education and / or Experience :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), prefer 5 or more years of ply cutter operations.

Supervisory Responsibility :

Not required for this position.
