Eyes on the Square is Hiring an Optician Near Bentonville, AR

Eyes on the Square is a beautiful, modern, upscale, private optometry practice and optical shop on the Downtown Bentonville Square.

We are seeking a full time optician to join our growing team!

Experience is desired but not required. Likewise, an active AR Opticians License is desired but not required. Pay ranges from $18-30/hr and will be based primarily on experience. Tremendous opportunity for growth for motivated individuals.

The candidate we're seeking is both professional and bubbly! This person needs to be a natural communicator, fashion forward, and able to think on their feet to problem solve. This role requires someone who is organized, detail oriented, and enthusiastic about excellence and learning new things, as extensive on the job training will be provided. No eye care experience is required.

This role will be dynamic and will include (but is not limited to):

  • Helping customers choose the best frames and lenses based on their prescription needs, face shape, style, and lifestyle.
  • Taking measurements, adjusting, repairing, and fitting eyewear, and carrying out these tasks with accuracy. (Assisted by the latest technologies, such as Optikam)
  • Verifying that finished eyewear meets our standards, as well as customer requests.
  • Educating customers on prescription terminology, lens options, our brands, and product offerings. We have many standardized office verbiages that make this clear, consistent, and concise.
  • Placing, filling, and dispensing orders for glasses and contact lenses, while accurately recording all information into electronic health records software (RevolutionEHR).
  • Problem solving, bouncing from one guest to another, and providing consistently excellent customer service to all of our customers/patients.
  • Appling/calculating insurance benefits/discounts.
  • Submitting insurance claims for all eligible optical orders.
  • Maintaining clean and organized work spaces as well as cleaning the office (a team effort)
  • In-office finishing/edging of lenses (on the job training will be provided, as with all above responsibilities)

Hours (not flexible): Monday thru Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-1, we are closed Saturday and Sunday
